Park Tour Marking Scottish Tourism Month

11th March 2024

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Sarah Allanson, representing the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BH&HPA), and Rachael Hamilton, our Local Member of the Scottish Parliament, to Coldstream as we celebrate #ScottishTourismMonth.

The meeting provided an invaluable opportunity for Sarah and Rachael to engage in discussions on critical issues facing the holiday park sector. Topics ranged from the implementation of visitor levies to the insights provided by the UK Caravan & Camping Alliance (UKCCA) Economic Impact Report. Additionally, Sarah shed light on the pivotal role played by the BH&HPA and their efforts to support and advocate for holiday park owners and operators across the UK.

During the tour of Coldstream Holiday Park, we had the pleasure of sharing both our successes and challenges within the industry. We highlighted the overwhelming positive feedback received from our guests, underscoring the significant impact Coldstream Holiday Park has had on the local economy. Through our dedication to providing exceptional holiday experiences, we have bolstered the existing array of fantastic tourism resources in Coldstream, strengthening its vibrancy and appeal as a destination.

We discussed the careful landscaping and sustainable practices which underscore our commitment to preserving the local ecosystem, enriching guest experiences, and ensuring Coldstream’s long-term sustainability as a premier Scottish Borders destination.

We would like to thank Sarah for organising and Rachael for her time, allowing us to showcase the beauty of Coldstream Holiday Park and the surrounding area. Her visit provided a platform to showcase our commitment to hospitality and recreation in the stunning Scottish Borders.

As we continue to innovate and evolve, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share our passion for hospitality with visitors and locals alike. Coldstream Holiday Park remains committed to offering unforgettable experiences amidst the natural splendour of the Scottish Borders.
