The Story of Coldstream Holiday Park

Welcome to Coldstream Holiday Park. The park you see today is the result of a long-held passion and a long journey to bring a premier holiday destination back to one of Scotland’s most iconic towns. I’m thrilled to share our story with you.

A Vision Born in 1997

The vision of re-establishing a caravan park for Coldstream first began back in 1997. As experienced Berwickshire operators, with decades of experience from owning and running Blackadder Holiday Park in Greenlaw, it was clear to us that this wonderful town was missing a vital piece of its tourism offering.

After many years, we were finally able to pursue this dream, and I am absolutely thrilled that Coldstream Holiday Park was given the green light. We were naturally delighted to get the go-ahead for a new holiday park that does justice to this stunning riverside location, looking south towards the Cheviot Hills.

Community & Collaboration

Our exciting development had the unanimous backing of local councillors, but the decision was a long time in the making. Local councillor Donald Moffat first spoke with me about the benefit of re-establishing a caravan site for Coldstream way back in 1997.

The views of local people were also sought, resulting in a town action plan which strongly recommended the need for a park. With the kind support of Jill and Colin McGregor of McGregor Farms, this beautiful site was identified, and our vision finally had a home.

Respect for Our Unique History

This land is not only beautiful but also of national importance. We are working closely with Historic Environment Scotland to evaluate, preserve, and promote a semi-circular crop-marked feature on the site, believed to be an Iron Age settlement. It is our privilege to be custodians of this unique piece of Scottish history.

Our Future: A Vibrant Park for a Flagship Town

We look forward to building a vibrant 21st-century business which will encourage many visitors to visit and return to this lovely and unique Border town. Our goal is to create an asset for Coldstream that honours its heritage and culture as a world-famous flagship town for Scotland.
